BACKGROUND AND CHALLENGES

Coupang is South Korea's leading e-commerce platform, offering a wide range of products and fast delivery services to its customers, giving it a leading position in the market. However, in order to maintain its growth and market leadership in the rapidly changing digital economy, Coupang needed to further enhance the efficiency of its digital sales channels and the effectiveness of its marketing strategies. To do so, Coupang recognized the need for a growth platform for digital sales and realized that it was essential to upgrade its marketing campaigns, lead management, and voice of customer (VOC) management systems. In particular, they were looking for a solution that would enable them to maximize the customer experience and increase the efficiency of marketing and sales through integrated management of customer data and the ability to execute customized marketing campaigns in real-time. Against this backdrop, Coupang decided to partner with Salesforce to adopt Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud to accelerate the digital transformation of their business.

RESULTS

By implementing Salesforce solutions, Coupang has been able to systematically manage sales opportunities and build a solid foundation for its business. With the introduction of Sales Cloud, Coupang has been able to integrate its sales processes and systematically manage sales opportunities, enabling the sales team to better understand customer data and interactions and provide customized solutions to increase business growth.

Marketing Cloud has also helped Coupang streamline the planning and execution of marketing campaigns by creating an automated assignment management system by case type, which allows the marketing team to design more precisely targeted campaigns and automatically deliver messages tailored to individual customers, dramatically increasing the productivity and effectiveness of marketing. By moving from manually crafting messages to automating and personalizing them, Coupang has maximized the efficiency of campaign management.

The integration of the Salesforce solution was accomplished through a legacy interface, which allowed Coupang to seamlessly integrate multiple systems and data sources. In addition, Salesforce provided integrated reports and dashboards, which paved the way for Coupang to make more informed decisions. With these integrated systems and analytics tools, Coupang has increased transparency into its business operations and is able to make data-driven decisions in real-time.
