BACKGROUND AND CHALLENGES
In particular, information disconnects and inefficiencies caused by the use of different systems among sales representatives, business partners, and subcontractors became a major issue. This disparate system environment made it difficult to collaborate across teams, prevented consistent management of customer data, and ultimately led to a lack of data-driven approach to decision-making.
In addition, the importance of integrating and utilizing data entered into the system by various stakeholders such as supply lines, contractors, and subcontractors became increasingly important, as it was a key enabler of data-driven decision-making in many aspects of supply chain management, project execution and monitoring, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Due to the global nature of its business, Samsung C&T needed to establish international sales management and material delivery management processes to effectively manage requirements in various regions and markets and lay the foundation for maintaining its competitive edge.
RESULTS
Enhanced collaboration between the sales team and business partners: Salesforce's Partner Community provided a portal to enable collaboration between the sales team and business partners, significantly improving communication and increasing sales efficiency. The portal enabled real-time information sharing, joint sales opportunity management, and a consolidated view of sales activities, enabling everyone involved to work together effectively toward their goals.
Unified customer information management: By leveraging Sales Cloud and Service Cloud to unify the data entered into the system by supply lines, contractors, subcontractors, and others, the company has centralized its customer information management system, enabling real-time access and analysis of customer data and significantly improving the accuracy and efficiency of customer management.
Automated sales management to support global business: By integrating various solutions from Salesforce, we automated the sales management process to support global business, enabling sales representatives to create and execute customized sales strategies for different regions and markets, improving overall productivity and efficiency.
Efficiently manage risks in the material delivery management process: Leveraging Salesforce's platform, Samsung C&T established a material delivery management process and built a system to efficiently manage risks such as late deliveries and long-term inventory. This has improved transparency and predictability in supply chain management and enhanced the ability to proactively identify and respond to potential risks.
